Should the truth be the measure to meld and to mend
should the answer be given the cause to contend
should faith find salvation and the song of it’s worth
should God give the reason
the rhyme of rebirth

Should real hope be given and true friends be found
should love find the lover to walk hallowed ground
should peace be the promise and purpose the prize
should the great gift be given
real wealth to surmise

Should hope find redemption and will find the word
should love live forever in all that is heard
should the spirit find freedom a wing for the way
should the fine line be followed
to greet the new day

Should the doorway be opened and the path clearly seen
should mercy be given to show all it means
should freedom be found and set free to tell
should we all rise together
to ring the same bell

Should compassion find credence to give soul to soul
should the last be the first to have and to hold
should faith find salvation and the song of it’s worth
should God give the reason
