in understanding the way of the will
and in giving to gain in the measure
that lives to see it fulfilled
Love is the essence of deep soul and heart
the first thought of creation to know
for God to give in his mercy
the example to see and to show

Love is perfection of power
the direction that’s real and divine
the thought that’s eternal crystal and clear
the taste of life’s sweetest wine
Love is the beauty of being
the truth in all that is seen
the balance to bear in it’s wisdom
to wake in life’s living dream
